Ex.1 Reading & Comprehension

Greenland is the world’s largest island. It is located between the Arctic and the Atlantic Ocean. Even though it is called Greenland, most of the island is covered by ice. The climate is very cold, especially in the north. The capital city of Greenland is Nuuk, a small but modern town with colourful houses. About 57,000 people live in the whole country, which makes it one of the least populated places in the world. Many people in Greenland are Inuit. They have a rich culture with traditional music, clothing and storytelling. Fishing and hunting are still very important in daily life. Tourists visit Greenland to see glaciers, icebergs, and the Northern Lights. It is a beautiful place, but also a challenging environment where nature is very strong.
